CHAPTER 111 AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN SECTION OF PARK AND RESERVATION LAND ON COLUMBIA ROAD IN THE DORCHESTER DISTRICT IN THE CITY OF BOSTON AS THE SPEAKER JOHN W. McCORMACK PARK.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to immediately designate the park and reservation land located at Columbia road and Buttonwood street in the Dorchester district in the city of Boston as the Speaker John W. McCormack Park, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The metropolitan district commission park and reservation land located on Columbia road at Buttonwood street in the Dorchester district in the city of Boston shall be designated and known as the Speaker John W. McCormack Park. A suitable marker bearing such designation shall be attached thereto by the metropolitan district commission.

Approved July 12, 1988.
