CHAPTER 299 AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN SECTION OF U.S. HIGHWAY ROUTE 44 AS THE JOHN AND MAE PARKER HIGHWAY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The portion of United States highway route 44 in the towns of Seekonk, Rehoboth, Dighton, and Raynham and in the city of Taunton from the Rhode Island state line to the intersection with state highway route 24, shall be designated and known as the John and Mae Parker highway, in honor of Senator and Mrs. John F. Parker. The department of public works shall erect suitable markers along said highway bearing said designation in compliance with the standards of said department and as authorized by the federal highway administration.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
