Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter one hundred and forty of the General Laws, or any other law or regulation to the contrary, any person, firm, corporation, club or other entity who has a pool table or pool tables for its customers, members or patrons within the city of Everett, shall, as a condition of placing or maintaining said table or tables on its premises apply to, and acquire a license from, the board of aldermen of the city of Everett.
Said board of aldermen is hereby empowered to promulgate such regulations as they deem necessary to enforce this licensing authority.
This act shall not apply to the use of pool tables in private homes.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
