Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 2 of chapter 922 of the acts of 1977 is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence, as amended by section 2 of chapter 127 of the acts of 1986, and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- For the purpose authorized by section one, the treasurer of said county, with the approval of the county commissioners and the county advisory board, may borrow upon the credit of the county such sums as may be necessary not exceeding, in the aggregate, eight million four hundred and twenty thousand dollars, and may issue bonds or notes of the county therefor, which shall bear on their face the words, Norfolk County Agricultural School Loan, Act of 1977.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
