Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The town treasurer of the town of Cummington is hereby authorized to pay from available funds to Richard Ames, the sum of seventeen thousand five hundred dollars, and to Patrick Ames, the sum of two thousand six hundred and fifty dollars, for work performed, including labor and materials, on the recreation building located at Pettingill Memorial Ballfield in said town, notwithstanding the failure of said town to comply with the appropriate provisions of law relative to competitive bidding in the awarding of the contracts.
