Session Laws

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 3-5 of article 3 of the charter of the town of Easton which is on file in the office of the archivist of the commonwealth, as provided in section 12 of chapter 43B of the General Laws, is hereby amended by striking out subsection (a) and inserting in place thereof the following subsection:-

(a) Composition, Term of Office - There shall be a finance committee consisting of nine members, who shall be elected by the voters for three year terms, such that the term of office of three members shall expire each year.

SECTION 2. Subsection (d) of section 8-6 of article 8 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the last sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The town administrator of the town of Easton shall appoint to the office of tree warden for a three year term of office, and the town shall adopt a by-law providing for such appointment, and setting forth the powers and duties of such office.
