Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the picnic area located at Riverbend Farm, formerly called Voss Farm, along the Blackstone canal in the Uxbridge portion of the Blackstone river and canal heritage state park shall be designated as the Grace Ballou Picnic Area in recognition of Grace Ballou's long time advocacy and support of park development along the Blackstone river. The department of environmental management shall erect a suitable marker thereat bearing said designation in compliance with the standards of said department.
