CHAPTER 273 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE COMMISSIONER OF THE DIVISION OF CAPITAL PLANNING AND OPERATIONS TO ACQUIRE A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND IN THE TOWN OF EAST BROOKFIELD.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The commissioner of the division of capital planning and operations, acting for and on behalf of the commonwealth, is hereby authorized, subject to the provisions of sections forty E to forty J, inclusive, of chapter seven of the General Laws, to acquire by eminent domain, or otherwise, a certain parcel of public land located in the town of East Brookfield, and to transfer the care, custody and control of said parcel to the department of highways. Said parcel, known as parcel 2-6-T, owned by and located in the town of East Brookfield, is presently dedicated for use as a part of the town hall land. The parcel is to be diverted from the present use to a highway use. The parcel is more particularly described as follows:

A parcel of land in the Town of East Brookfield, on the Southwesterly side of Cottage Street, and bounded as follows;

Northeasterly by Cottage Street about 16 feet;

Southeasterly by Mechanic Street about 24 feet;

Southwesterly by land now or formerly of the Town of East Brookfield about 14 feet; and

Northwesterly by land of unknown ownership about 16 feet;

This parcel contains about 274 square feet, and is shown on a plan entitled, "East Brookfield, Right of Way Plan". Said plan shall be kept on file with the chief engineer of the department of public works or the department of highways.
