CHAPTER 299 AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SICK LEAVE BANK FOR MARY RAE SIROIS, AN EMPLOYEE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to immediately establish a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of social services, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the department of social services is hereby authorized and directed to establish a sick leave bank for Mary Rae Sirois, a social worker in said department. Any employee of the department of social services may voluntarily contribute one or more of his sick, personal or vacation days to said sick leave bank for use by said Mary Rae Sirois.

Passed without Governor's signature, December 30, 1992.
