CHAPTER 301 AN ACT EXEMPTING CERTAIN SCHOOL DEPARTMENT POSITIONS IN THE TOWN OF BROOKLINE FROM THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE LAW.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the positions of administrative assistants, transportation coordinator, director of computer services and supervisor of custodians in the school department of the town of Brookline shall not be subject to the provisions of chapter thirty-one of the General Laws.

SECTION 2. The provisions of section one shall not impair the civil service status of any persons holding any one of the said positions in the town of Brookline on the effective date of this act.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
