CHAPTER 305 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE APPOINTMENT OF A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN OF THE TOWN OF RANDOLPH TO THE POSITION OF EXECUTIVE SECRETARY OF SAID BOARD.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section twenty of chapter two hundred and sixty-eight A of the General Laws, members of the board of selectmen of the town of Randolph on the effective date of this act shall be eligible for appointment by said board to the position of executive secretary to the board of selectmen; provided, however, they shall not be so eligible until the expiration of thirty days from the termination of their service as a member of said board; and provided, further, that no such appointment shall be valid until it has been first approved at an annual or special town meeting.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
