CHAPTER 317 AN ACT ESTABLISHING SICK LEAVE BANKS FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF THE COMMONWEALTH.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to immediately establish sick leave banks for certain employees of the commonwealth, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the judiciary is hereby authorized and directed to establish a sick leave bank for Dolores Dupre, an employee of the supreme judicial court. Any employee of the judiciary may voluntarily contribute one or more of his personal, vacation or sick days to said bank for use by said Dolores Dupre.

SECTION 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the parole board of the commonwealth is hereby authorized and directed to establish a sick leave bank for parole officer, Michael Donovan, an employee of the parole board. Any employee of the parole board may voluntarily contribute one or more of his personal, vacation or sick days to said bank for use by said Michael Donovan.
