Session Laws

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 14A of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1990 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the first sentence the following sentence:- A person who owns an animal shall restrain and control such animal on a leash when in proximity to a guide dog that is on a public or private way.

SECTION 2. Section 14A of said chapter 90, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking out the last sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- Whoever violates any provision of this section shall be punished by a fine of no less than one hundred nor more than five hundred dollars.
