Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter one hundred and eighty of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, deductions on payroll schedules may be made from the salary of any employee of the town of Holliston of any amount which such employee may specify in writing to the treasurer/collector of said town of Holliston for the payment of a contribution to the Holliston Education Foundation. Any such authorization may be withdrawn by the employee by giving at least thirty days written notice of such withdrawal to said treasurer/collector. Said treasurer/collector shall deduct from the salary of such employee such amount of contributions as may be certified to said treasurer/collector on the payroll and transmit the sum so deducted to said foundation; provided, however, that said treasurer/collector is satisfied by such evidence as he may require that the treasurer of said foundation has given said foundation a bond for the faithful performance of his duties, in a sum and with such surety or sureties as are satisfactory to said treasurer/collector.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
