CHAPTER 137 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF BROCKTON TO CONVEY CERTAIN PROPERTY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The city of Brockton, acting by and through its city council, is hereby authorized to convey a certain parcel of land with the building thereon to The Boys and Girls Club of Brockton, Inc. for one dollar; provided, however, that said property shall be used to provide educational and recreational services to persons under the age of eighteen. Said parcel is more particularly described in a deed from the commonwealth to the city of Brockton recorded at the Plymouth county registry of deeds, Book 9319, Page 301.

SECTION 2. No deed conveying by and on behalf of the city of Brockton the property described in section one shall be valid unless such deed provides that said property be used for the purposes described in said section one.

SECTION 3. Title to the aforesaid parcel of land referred to in section one shall revert to the city of Brockton, without consideration, if the property is not used for the purposes stated therein.

SECTION 4. The commonwealth hereby releases any right, title, interest or estate it may hold in the aforesaid property referred to in section one.
