Session Laws

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The commissioner of the division of capital planning and operations is hereby authorized and directed, notwithstanding the provisions of section forty H of chapter seven of the General Laws, to convey a certain parcel of land and building thereon located in the city of Brockton to the Brockton Agricultural Society. Said parcel is described in a deed from the Brockton Agricultural Society to the commonwealth dated December twenty-first, nineteen hundred and thirty-one, filed as Document 10104 in the Plymouth county registry district of the land court.

SECTION 2. The purchase price paid by the Brockton Agricultural Society for said parcel shall be the full and fair market value of the property determined by the division of capital planning and operations based upon an independent appraisal. The Brockton Agricultural Society shall pay said purchase price.

SECTION 3. The Brockton Agricultural Society shall be responsible for any costs for appraisals, surveys, and other expenses relating to the transfer of property, or for any costs and expenses of any nature and kind for its development or for its maintenance.

SECTION 4. The purchase price paid pursuant to section three shall be deposited in the General Fund of the commonwealth.
