CHAPTER 169 AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE TAKING OF EDIBLE CRABS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Chapter 130 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out section 40, as appearing in the 1994 Official Edition, and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

Section 40. No person, either as principal, agent or employee, shall between January first and the following April thirtieth, both dates inclusive, take or catch edible crabs, by the use of traps or otherwise, from the coastal waters. Violation of the provisions of this section shall be punished by a fine of not less than ten nor more than fifty dollars.
