Session Laws

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding the provisions of section five G of chapter forty of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the town of Mashpee is hereby authorized to establish a separate fund to be known as the Mashpee Municipal Waterways Improvement and Maintenance Fund. Revenue received under subsection (i) of section two of chapter sixty B of the General Laws, all fees for mooring permits, other moneys appropriated to said fund by the town or the commonwealth and any donation or gift to said fund shall be deposited into said fund. All moneys deposited into said fund shall be used for waterways related expenses including maintenance, dredging, cleaning and improvement of harbors, inland waters and great ponds of the commonwealth, public access thereto and the breakwaters, retaining walls, piers, wharves and mooring thereof.
