Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
Notwithstanding the provisions of chapters thirty-two and thirty-two B of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the town of Abington, at an annual or special town meeting by majority vote, is hereby authorized to exempt the publicly elected officials of said town, who receive a nominal stipend not in excess of one thousand dollars from said town, from receiving health and insurance benefits and retirement benefits pursuant to said chapters thirty-two and thirty-two B.
