CHAPTER 386 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE DIVISION OF CAPITAL PLANNING AND OPERATIONS TO LEASE CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF WORCESTER.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The commissioner of the division of capital planning and operations is hereby authorized, subject to the provisions of sections forty E to forty J, inclusive, of chapter seven of the General Laws, to lease certain property for a term of five years with an option to renew for an additional five years, currently used for military division purposes, located in the city of Worcester to an individual entity, subject to the requirements of sections two and three and to such additional terms and conditions as the commissioner may prescribe in consultation with the military division. Said property is described as follows:

The northern portion of the National Guard armory located at 44 Salisbury street in said city of Worcester, containing approximately sixteen thousand square feet and being the three story building north of the drill shed, so-called.

SECTION 2. The recipient of said property shall assume the costs of appraisals, surveys, and other expenses as deemed necessary by the commissioner.

SECTION 3. Said lease shall provide that in the event of military necessity, the lease shall be terminated upon thirty days written notice to the lessee.
