Session Laws

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter fifty-four of the acts of nineteen hundred and ninety-six is hereby repealed.

SECTION 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the South Hadley housing authority is hereby authorized to make payment to Lawler Construction Company in an amount not exceeding fifty-seven thousand three hundred and forty-two dollars, including any payments previously made, for the demolition and dumping fees in connection with the damage to the Cowan block in the town of South Hadley. Said payment shall not be made until insurance proceeds are received for said demolition and dumping fees, and shall not exceed the amount of said insurance proceeds.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
