Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Subdivision (4) of section 3 of chapter 32 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 1994 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 473 to 478, the words "; and provided further, in the case of service rendered in such overseas dependent school, the member was a member of the teachers' retirement system upon his entrance into the service of said overseas dependent school and returned to the service of the public schools in the commonwealth immediately upon the termination of his service in said overseas dependent school".
