CHAPTER 82 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF NEWTON TO SELL A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND AND THE BUILDINGS THEREON.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The mayor of the city of Newton is hereby authorized to negotiate a contract for sale and to sell the city of Newton public works water yard property located in said city to the Newton Boys and Girls Club Corporation hereinafter referred to as the club for use as a facility to carry out the club's civic purposes of providing behavior guidance and promoting the health, social, educational, vocational and character development of the youth of said city, which negotiation and sale shall be exempt from the provisions of chapter thirty B of the General Laws.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
