Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
The first paragraph of section 41 of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as amended by section 3 of chapter 209 of the acts of 1995, is hereby further amended by striking out the first and second sentences and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- For the purposes of this section, a teacher, school librarian, school adjustment counselor, school social worker or school psychologist who has served in the public schools of a school district for the three previous consecutive school years shall be considered a teacher, and shall be entitled to professional teacher status as provided in section forty-two.
