Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Notwithstanding the provisions of section 16 of
chapter 30B of the General Laws or any other general or special law or by-law
to the contrary, the town of Hardwick, acting by and through its board of
selectmen, may
convey to the Hardwick Farmers Co-operative Exchange, a Massachusetts
corporation, for such consideration, and on such other terms and conditions as
the selectmen may determine, a portion of the land described in a deed from
Myron N. Ayres to the town of Hardwick dated February 22, 1911 and recorded
with the Worcester district registry of deeds in Book 1957, Page 469 and
known as the Paige House, subject to preservation restrictions to be
established by said town.
SECTION 2.
This act shall take effect upon its passage.
