Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Chapter 6 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 15HHHH, inserted by chapter 288 of the acts of 2000, the following section:-

Section 15IIII. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart the month of April as Public Health Month, in recognition for the achieved and future successes in identifying and addressing patterns of disease, illness and injury and for the health benefits achieved by the approach to public health by ensuring healthy living and working environments, and recommending that said month be observed in an appropriate manner by the people.
