Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
SECTION 1.
The town of Burlington, acting by and through its
conservation commission, may lease a certain parcel of
conservation land to a telecommunications service provider for the purpose of
constructing a wireless communication facility. Notwithstanding section 3 of chapter 40 of the General Laws, the lease may be for such term of years
exceeding 10 years and on such terms and conditions as the conservation
commission and the board of selectmen of the town may determine. The parcel
is shown on a plan entitled, "Proposed Telecommunications Easement" dated
September 2001 which is on file in the office of the town clerk.
SECTION 2.
This act shall take effect upon its passage.
