Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the personnel administrator of the division of human resources, shall place the name of Paul Thomas, son of retired disabled police office Paul Thomas, in the first position below the names of disabled veterans on the eligible list for appointment to the position of police officer of the town of Tewksbury, provided he meets all other requirements for certification.
