Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives
in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:
The superintendent of state office buildings shall subject to the approval of
the art commission as to size and content, install and maintain in a suitable
place in the state house a plaque honoring the memory of
Lieutenant Frances Y. Slanger of the city of Boston, who was the first
American nurse killed in action in the European Theater during World War II.
