Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

Paragraph (w) of section 567 of chapter 151 of the acts of 1996, as most recently amended by section 4 of chapter 344 of the acts of 1998, is hereby further amended by striking out the ninth sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The nomination papers of candidates for any generally elected positions created by the charter proposal, to be filled at a state election, shall be signed by 150 voters.
