Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. The town of Chelmsford, acting through its board of selectmen, may lease for agricultural purposes, for terms not to exceed 10 years, all or a portion of certain parcels of town-owned land acquired for open space purposes and identified as follows:
(i) board of assessors map 109, block 421, lot 32, containing 14 acres, more or less, and further shown as “Lot 4” on a plan of land dated March 7, 1997, prepared by Ludwig Surveying Assoc., Inc., 378 Littleton Road, Westford, Mass., entitled “‘Compiled’ Plan of Land in Chelmsford, Mass.”, scale 1” = 100’, which plan is recorded with the Middlesex North district registry of deeds in plan book 197, plan 104 and described in a deed to the town recorded in said registry of deeds in book 22255, page 37; and
(ii) board of assessors map 109, block 421, lot 36, containing 8.52 acres, more or less, and further shown as “Lot 5A”, a combination of Lot A and Lot 5, on a plan of land dated October 4, 2000, prepared by Ludwig Surveying Assoc., Inc., 3 Littleton Road, Westford, Mass. entitled, “Compiled Plan of Land in Chelmsford, Mass” scale 1” = 50’, which plan is recorded with the Middlesex North district registry of deeds in plan book 204, plan 51, and described in a deed to the town recorded in said registry of deeds in book 22255, page 45.
SECTION 2. The leases authorized in section 1 shall be subject to all other applicable laws, including chapter 30B of the General Laws.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
