Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. The first paragraph of section 3 of chapter 302 of the acts of 1926, as amended by section 1 of chapter 18 of the acts of 2005, is hereby further amended by striking out the last sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The town clerk shall notify the town meeting members of the time and place at which a representative town meeting is to be held, and that notice shall be sent at least 7 days before the meeting by mail or by such other method of delivery as the town may specify in a by-law duly enacted by the town meeting.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.Approved, December 12, 2012.
